VIDEO PRODUCTION: Paying clients don't hire the camera crew, they hire the producer. |

Video producers are the people clients hire to get their corporate videos made. Think about it. Clients do not know how to plan, budget for, write, or hire a crew for the video project. Nor do paying clients have the time to produce their own videos because they are too busy running their own business. I went to film school to become a video editor. Because there were more editors than projects and equipment I took on the challenge of being the video project producer. None of my peers were standing in line for that job. In addition to learning a highly valued video skill, being the producer had me working on the majority of the class projects. How fortunate for me. Adding the job title of video producer to to my resume now means more paying jobs for me. And, more money, since producers get a cut of the budget. Plus, I pick and choose which projects I want to also work on as the editor or writer, and sometimes director. As much as I love being a film maker, I enjoy being paid more. Learning how to produce corporate videos got me work scripting, filming and editing corporate videos. Learning how to produce videos may do the same for you. Download Free Video Production Book.
